Subject to certain rules and restrictions, individuals can use their SIPP to purchase a commercial property for investment purposes, currently due to the expense of operating this type of investment the HD SIPP Trustees have taken the decision not to offer this facility.
However, if you have an HD SIPP with investments held within it, this can be assigned to another Property SIPP in order to use the value of those investments when calculating the value for borrowing purposes. We can provide a specimen deed on application.
